First: Who'd like to win a copy of Interweave Knits Holiday Gifts 2008? If you would, leave a comment and mention your favorite animal. (If you want to leave a comment but not be entered in the drawing, just don't mention animals :-) .) I'll pull a name next Wednesday for the prize.
Second: Johanna is TEH AWESOME — she actually thought of me while on vacation in Japan and sent me a gift. You have to see the hilarious postcard:
The gift itself is a very amusing craft kit that has you make magnets that look like doughnuts. The whole concept cracks me up. I don't know if I'll be able to figure the instructions out, but I'm going to try.
Third: I'm finally done with the brown stockinette portion of Rob's gansey. Only just done, so it's still not terrifically exciting, but it's much more fun to knit!
Fourth: It's Spring! Hurrah!

how sweet!
speaking of japanese crafting, have you ever tried a japanese knitting pattern? looks like fun! almost like a puzzle AND a pattern all at once!
congrats on the knitting progress :)
Hurrah! Indeed it is spring. Lovely sweet Peas?
Ooh, fun Japanese stuff! I'm jealous. :)
I'll bet my favorite animal is no surprise - the rat! heehee!
I wish I could figure out how to post the picture I took last week of the bouquet from my garden. It's so nice to have things growing. :)
And favorite animal? That's like asking my to name my favorite music, it's so hard to pick just one. But the one I always say when people ask what animal I'd be: orca.
ooooh Freshia, we used those for our wedding. I have a whole batch to plant in a couple of weeks too.
I'm a horse person myself. I haven't ridden much in a few years, but I'm hoping to get to a lot this summer now that I'm not pregnant and the kid doesn't need me quite so much.
And doesn't everyone need a doughnut on their fridge. Might distract from all the cookies.
My favorite animal is Omar. My cats would eat my face off if they could read. What can I say? I love my little rat terrier with a passion.
The flowers just glow!
S'funny to see spring happening there when here in Oz we have glorious autumnal colours, cooler but sunny weather, tomatoes doing their last dash, pumpkins ripening and winter veg. getting started.
My favourite animal is the Zebra. Love those unique stripes :)
