The rain has come at last.
And we got word early this morning that my grandmother died in her sleep last night, which after the last two weeks of pain and discomfort — given that we knew there was nothing we could do for her — gives a sense of peace along with the loss.
You and your family will be in my thoughts. I hope it comforts you to know that you are not alone...even if it means that a half-stranger a continent away shares your sorrow and grieves with you.
I will also be keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Even though she was in pain, and you know that her suffering is over, it's not easy lossing someone so dear.
Please let me know if you need anything. {{{{big hugs}}}}
Oh, bugger. I'm so sorry to hear that, and so sorry I'm so late coming to your blog and finding out. I don't know, but I guess it's never easy, even when it's expected.

I'm sorry for your loss....but grateful that the pain is over for her.
Hugs....
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you don't feel too bad.
Valerie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure knowing that she is no longer suffering helps ease the pain a bit. Take care.

Even knowing it is coming does not prepare you for a loved one dying. I am so sorry. Many good thoughts and virtual hugs!
Oh, great big hugs, Valerie. What more is there, really, to say, except that I'll be thinking of you?
Oh honey, I'm so terribly sorry to hear this. Please, please let me know if there's anything at all I can do. Life, she is the suck sometimes.
I'll be thinking of you and your family. It's hard to see a loved one go even when they've been on their way out.
