Oh the baby camel.
I have discovered that there is nothing quite like baby camel yarn. Bouton d'or's Ksar is 50% merino, 50% camel. I don't think even cashmere is softer. And thick... cushy...

Oooh, I've seen them on Knitty, thought they looked nice. Baby Camel sounds gorgeous, although I always imagined camels to have fairly coarse hair, being massive and quite ugly and all that!

I think I finally need to get around to making a pair. Maybe I should do that with some of my handspun.
I was just checking out some of the camel/merino yarn and thinking it was amazingly soft. I don't think you should take them off until it gets warm again. Happy New Year CyberBuddy!

Got close enough to touch a camel in Turkey and I kid you not you could have knitted straight from the animal's back. And they look SO manky!
I'm guessing baby camels are adorable. You know, goofy looking because, hey, camel, but with fuzzy fur, long eyelashes, and freakishly large feet. (Or maybe that's puppies.)
Plus, they probably smell better than grown-up camels.
